Varvaglione has created red wine that is a crowd pleaser every year with this Primitivo. One of the reasons this wine has so many fans is the fact that you get a great red wine for your money. If you like wines from Apulia, this is certainly something we recommend.

A Primitivo with a beautiful ruby red colour and bright reflections. The red berry aromas play first violin on the nose, followed by delicate hints of vanilla and a hint of roasted aromas. The first sip is juicy, firm and very accessible on the palate. The American wood makes its presence felt and provides an additional aromatic component. The wine has great fluidity and drinkability - the acidity provides the necessary freshness, the tannins are very ripe and velvety. This is one of those wines where the bottle will be empty before you know it.

Pairs well with pasta and pizza but is also a fantastic and affordable wine to enjoy solo.
