Description
When we tasted this wine for the first time, we were really amazed at what's possible in this price range. Big Blend - the name says it all. You get a lot of wine for the money here and all from Austria.
Together, Zweigelt and Merlot form a cuvée that matured in French and American oak barrels. About 35% of these barrels were new and the rest used wood. This makes the roasted aromas less dominant and brings harmony to the wine.
On the palate, it is very supple, almost soft, with a distinctive cherry fruit that's accompanied by wild berries. This is a really fun wine, from the perfect first sip to the long and warm finish.
Beware, this is one of those wines that you'll regret only buying one bottle of!
