Georg Preisinger and his wife Katharina are now the fifth generation running their winery in Gols. In 2010, the elder Georg stepped back, though he still works in the vineyard and is an important part of the proverbial journey. The rocket on their labels is a symbol of their journey through time, choosing wines with a strong character. “Everything you do finds a response. In the vineyards, in the cellar. Vinification is a holistic process, the individual components of which are inextricably linked." Georg's range includes great white wines from the Burgundy family, but also fantastic reds, the best of which are brought to maturity in barriques. Sixty-four, Sixty-eight and Sixty-nine were chosen for their top wines to commemorate the date the vineyards were planted. Ingenious Pinot Blanc of almost unbelievable complexity, Zweigelt from the oldest vineyards and a supple Sankt Laurent with a Burgundian character form the top line from Georg Preisinger. But it's impossible to forget the sparkling summer wines "Die Leichtigkeit", which bring fresh and fruity enjoyment to hot days. And as if that weren't enough, Georg Preisinger also has a fantastic sparkling wine: "Himmel voller Sterne" (Heaven full of stars) made using traditional methods.
