Dopff au Moulin

Dopff au Moulin is one of the best producers in Alsace of still wine and cremants. It's also a pioneer in sparkling wine; it was Julien Dopff, the great-grandfather of the current owner, who, inspired by the "method champenoise", first decided to apply this process to Alsatian wine around 1900. In 1976, Pierre Dopff was instrumental in establishing the Crémant d'Alsace controlled designation of origin. Today, it's a huge success with more than 50% of all Alsatian sparkling wines bottled under this AOC. Not only is the history of the Dopff family impressive; the wines are too. Wonderful, crystal clear Rieslings, multiple award-winning Gewürztraminer and outstanding Cremants.
