Description

Fruity red wines from the south of France are justifiably popular. But when they are as flawless as this Petit St. Jacques, they achieve star status.

A very accessible red wine that shimmers in the glass with its dense violet colour. A beautiful aroma of violets on the nose paired with a subtle herbal spice and lots of dark berries. Quite dense on the palate, fleshy but very fruity, taut fine tannins with good acidity. Spicy and peppery on the finish, typical for wines of the region. The relatively high alcohol content is barely noticeable, probably due to the style of production and the grape varieties used.

A great accompaniment to light meat dishes, roast beef or a platter of cold meat.
