We can still remember tasting this wine for the first time at Vinitaly. We couldn't stop smiling. Barolo or Nebbiolo is a very special grape, though it's not everyone's favourite due to the strong tannins and acid structure, as well as the aroma. When tasting, it was immediately clear that this was a classic wine that will be a lot of fun to drink now, and last for many years.

Typical brick-red in the glass, transparent, almost like Pinot Noir. It requires a lot of air, then the terroir character will come through with lime and mineral notes. Red berries, some leather and a hint of forest floor, very ethereal.

Really powerful on the palate, firm tannins, very ripe but also very young. The acidity is wonderfully fresh, with notes of herbs and dark aromas, plus that typical petrol tone that you find again and again in Barolo. Very complex, with a powerful long finish. Super exciting Barolo at an unbelievably high level - it's already a lot of fun, especially as an accompaniment to food, but will only really reveal its potential in the next few years.
