In recent years, the Genussgut Krispel in Styrian Vulkanland has become one to watch. At a young age, Stefan Krispel took over his parents' business and expanded it to a good 70 hectares. The representative regional wines of the classic line are really fun and it's easy to descend into hyperbole over their vineyard and village wines. Plus, their Heuriger has often been voted the best wine tavern in all of Styria.
